Welcome Grant Wilson, Director of Religious Education

I'm Grant Wilson, your new Director of Religious Education, and I'm really excited to be here! I grew up on a farm near Murrayville, Illinois, I have two younger siblings, I was married in April, and I love board games. I’m also a new dad! Our first child, a girl, is due in January.

I went to public school and attended PSR through eighth grade. Faith in Christ and the Church came most alive for me after a TEC retreat here in Quincy. Since then, I’ve been a seminarian, a youth minister, a campus minister at Quincy University, a young adult minister in Springfield, and a missionary in Italy and China. These experiences have taught me the importance of welcoming and connecting with people from all walks of life, sharing the Gospel through friendship, and building up the members of the Body of Christ.

I’m here to empower individuals in our parish to be Bible study leaders, missionaries at work and home, prayer warriors, and more. I'm excited to meet you, to learn what you’re best at and most passionate about, and to help you bring those gifts to others in your life. I can't wait to see what we can accomplish together for the kingdom.
