S., as well as a brief presentation on The Family Dinner Project will be included. Door prizes will be awarded. Due to Thanksgiving and food delivery schedules , we will need reservations by Friday, November 15 at 3:00pm. The reservation form will come home the first week in November.

Cold Weather

Please have your child dress appropriately for the cold weather. The students will go outside for recess if the wind chill is 34 degrees or higher.

Crazy Quarters Auction Items

Items are needed for this fun event. All donations are asked to have a value of $15.00 or more. If any local businesses donate two or more $15 items, you may set up a FREE Vendor booth. Auction bidders will likely be Christimas shopping. This fun event will be held on Friday, Dec. 13th at 6:00 in the Parish Hall.

Gym Class

Please make sure your child wears gym shoes or brings the appropriate shoes for P.E. This will keep your child safe and protects the gym floor. Thank you, Coach K.

St. Dominic School Open Position

St. Dominic School is candidates for the secretary position at the school. This position performs secretarial duties; handles designated clerical responsibilities (correspondence, reports, students’ records, appointments, lunch and tuition accounts on FACTS, etc.) related to school and the office of the principal; keeps the office running smoothly; greets visitors; and represents the principal in telephone and personal contact with the public. Please send a letter of interest and resume to Carol Frericks at [email protected] or 4100 Columbus Road, Quincy, IL 62305. Thank you.

Jewelry

Parents, even though jewelry is allowed, we have had students who have recently lost a personal item at recess and we wanted to make you aware of the risk. Unfortunately, it may not be discovered that it is missing until late in the day and is difficult to find. We encourage you to talk to your child about the possibility of the item getting lost at recess and they may reconsider wearing it. It is very sad, especially when the item means a great deal to them, and we can’t find it for them.

Thank you for your support,
Lori Shepard

Box Tops App

Dear Parents and Friends of St. Francis School,

In over 20 years box tops have been in existence, we have received $33,841.00. So far this year with the changes to scanning your receipts, we have earned $9.20 and I do not have a large amount of box tops to submit. If you have any box tops at home, please send them to school or in the collection at church by Oct. 25th. I have to cut and count to send in by Nov. 1st. If you have the new app, please scan your receipts within 14 days of purchase. If you can’t get the app, please send your receipt copies and we will try to get someone to scan it. Thank you for helping St. Francis School. Sincerely, Karen Kroeger
