out of dress code day with Halloween themed, black, orange, gray etc. shirt and out of dress code appropriate pants
OR
school appropriate Halloween costumes may be worn.
Mrs. Radel states that full dress code clothing is always acceptable to wear to school.
Some details for the costumes are as follows:
-No dyed hair, no face/body painting (including wounds), no carried items to accompany the costumes including, but not limited to fake "weapons"
-Costumes should be Catholic school appropriate in theme, length, tightness, coverage, and cut
-Hoods, hats, and face masks may be worn if appropriate for the costume and school
-Costumes should not hinder independent restroom use or daily activities (PE, recess, etc.)
-If worn, costumes should stay on all day (unless arrangements have been made with the teacher) to avoid missed class times
-Costumes in question will need to be approved by Mrs. Radel and could result in a call to a guardian to bring additional clothing. If a costume is in question, email Mrs. Radel a photo of the student wearing it by Friday, October 28: [email protected]
-The school staff is not responsible for lost or damaged costumes that day.
-Direct questions to your student's teacher before asking Mrs. Radel or the school office staff.
Parade: PreK would like to parade to each room (as they have in the past). Miss Catherine will notify you of days, approximate times, and numbers of students to expect. Teachers/Parents can choose to provide candy to those students; there are no allergies. No other classes will participate in the parade.
Parties: K-8: 2:00-2:50pm with announcements and dismissal to follow (start times coincide with 6-8 schedule)....PreK will set times and days to fit their class needs. Miss Catherine will contact you.
-Parents will plan and carry out the party details. It is suggested that they notify the teacher with details if the teacher is not part of the planning conversations.
-Suggested Party ideas:
-PreK-4th: Parents should provide a game(s), craft(s), and snack(s) with drink(s)
-5th-8th-Parents should provide snacks and drinks. A game(s) could be planned, but many students enjoy "free time" with their friends.
Contacting Parents:
-Homeroom teachers are to contact their room parents directly. If you turned your sign-up sheets in after Open House, please collect a copy.
-Teachers can contact parents using whatever format is easiest: seesaw, dojo, sign-up genius, email, text, etc.
-You may want to do this the first week or so of October.
Please let the Halloween Committee know if you have any questions.
Please note that Tuesday, November 1 is a Holy Day of Obligation, All Saints Day. Fr. Arisman stated there will be a school Mass that day.
