From Our Pastor: Embrace the True Presence and Be Fed for the Journey
Today they are in disbelief of the Eucharist. The question is then posed to us...what is your belief in the real presence? Jesus makes it abundantly clear He doesn’t mean a representative of His flesh and blood, but that it truly is His flesh and blood. He calls us to trust in Him and be fed by Himself. Now apply this to the first reading. The first reading Elijah feels like he can’t go on and is urged to miraculously eat and drink to prepare him for the 40 day journey ahead. God desires to feed you on your journey but not just with miraculous food. God desired to feed you on your journey through life to life ever lasting with the food that lasts forever, Jesus’ real presence.
As we prepare for the new school year this week please keep our teachers, staff, students and parents in your prayers. So many are very excited!! Pray for a successful year. It’s been so wonderful having so many of our school families returning to mass. Keep up the good work and all of us do our best to welcome them even more! What a blessing for us all!!
