From Our Pastor: 21st Sunday In Ordinary Time
This Sunday we continue the challenges from the scriptures. Hebrews challenges us to be disciplined and the Gospel tells us to strive to enter through the narrow gate. Jesus warns us it isn't easy to be saved. He has redeemed us but we must be active in the work that God does in us for salvation. It is not enough just to say I know Him, but instead we must be with Him and intimately dwell with Him in His house. If Mass is not the priority of who we are and whose we are, then how are we with the master in the house behind the locked door? We want to be with Him and allow Him to be in us as a friend we know intimately and not just the guy we yell to from afar when we need him that says, "Oh yeah, hey I know you"! If we know Him we will be with Him and Him with us. Have no doubt where you stand with Christ by standing with Him, In His House, with Him.
This week we began school again! How exciting. It was great to have everyone back. What an exciting year it is going to be! Thank you to Mrs. Radel for her leadership and to all the faculty and staff for a great start to the year! There is so much to look forward to in the blessings we have here at St. Francis.
