Franciscan Farewell Party and Statue Dedication

6:30 p.m.
We will begin with a small prayer service in the church to begin the blessing of the statute. Immediately following the prayer service, we will have a cocktail hour with appetizers and desserts to celebrate the gift of 160 years of Franciscans. During 2020 when they left, we were not able to do a proper goodbye and thank you to the Franciscans. This event is our opportunity to truly recognize them and thank them. This will be a formal event with a chance to say goodbye and thank the Franciscans in a real way! As part of the thank you, please come ready to hear a new opportunity of a way to memorialize your gratitude for the gift of the Franciscans over these many years. More information to come!
As part of this event, I would like you to write BRIEFLY one memory, maybe one or two paragraphs, about a story where they touched your life and shared Christ with you. These will be shared publicly so be careful what you share. Also, if you can bring a COPY (you will not get them back) of one or two photos of memories with the Franciscans over the years at the parish. Please turn these into the Parish Office. We will also have a box in the north Gathering Space for you to drop them off.
