Confirmation for the St. Francis' 2019-2020 8th grade class has been scheduled for Sunday, August 2nd at 3:00 PM in the church. The Confirmation Mass will be streamed. Students and their sponsors should be seated by 2:30 PM for a quick run-through of the Rite of Confirmation.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are limited to 200 in the church at any one time. As a result, we are requesting that the 37 families each limit their attendance to 5. This means student, sponsor and 3 others. We request that masks be worn when entering and when leaving the church. Masks will be available at the doors.
As in the past, the confirmandi and their sponsor will sit together towards the front of the church and families will fill in toward the back and sides. We will not have assigned seating as we have done in the past. Ushers will be present to help with seating confirmandi and families.
Confirmandi should dress appropriately for receiving the sacraments. Here are the guidelines:
Young men: Dress slacks and dress shirts, dress shoes. Suits or sport coats and neckties are optional. The following are NOT permitted: tennis shoes, sneakers, jeans or baggy pants, tee shirts, novelty neckties. No visible piercing jewelry.
Young ladies: Modest dress, skirt and blouse, pant suit or dress pants and blouse (dress skirt must be knee length or longer) and dress shoes. Also, when fixing your hair, your forehead must be uncovered for anointing. Nail polish should be subdued or pastel color. The following are NOT permitted: strapless dresses, jeans skirt, casual or low cut dresses and visible body piercing except for earrings.
Professional photography will be available after mass. No reception is planned due to gathering restrictions. Please contact Mike Holbrook at 222-2898 X108 or [email protected] for further information/clarification.
Blessings to all,
