St. Francis School Newsletter – March 31, 2017

Dear Parents,

Thank you for your concern this past week when we suggested that your child bring a water bottle as a precautionary measure since the city was flushing the water mains near our school to remedy discolored water.  Within minutes of being notified at approximately 2:00 PM that there seemed to be a problem, I contacted Central Services at the City and they were here within 10 minutes of our call, ready to respond.  We were being proactive to encourage children to bring water the next day until we were assured that our water was safe to drink.  City workers checked and there was no leak, and the water did not need to be turned off, which would have resulted in a boil order.  The lines were flushed by the city and we were told even the day of the event, the water was safe to drink.  When the school posts information, it will be through a Ren Web Text, or an official school email that will be sent by our technology coordinator, Gary Clayton.  We have never used Facebook as an official site to deliver information, so we apologize for any confusion. If you are not receiving texts or emails from Mr. Clayton, please contact the school and update your contact information.
