QCES Running Club 2017: For the FOURTH year, Running Club is BACK! It is time again to begin training for the Bridge the Gap 5K! BTG is Saturday, May 20. Training begins on TUESDAY, March 7. It will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-4:00. WALKERS and RUNNERS welcome! GRADES 4-8 (younger students welcome WITH individual parent supervision at ALL times). Quincy Catholic Elementary Schools (QCES) Foundation to Host 2017-2018 Tuition-Assistance Application Information Sessions:
The QCES Foundation invites and encourages all QCES families, who wish to apply for tuition assistance for the 2017-2018 school year, to attend one of the two Tuition-Assistance Application Information Sessions to be held on Wednesday, March 8th, and Thursday, March 9th, at 6:30 p.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Church Gathering Area. The Gathering Area, can be accessed from the Blessed Sacrament Church/School parking lot located off 8th St. QND families are invited and encouraged to attend one of the two information sessions, as well. Private School Aid Service (PSAS,) the previous tuition-assistance assessment provider for QCES & QND, was purchased by FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment this past summer. As a result, the application form and the application process have changed. The two information sessions have been arranged by the QCES Foundation to help QCES & QND families feel more comfortable and confident when filling out the new FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment Application. Parent /Teacher Survey: Parents will be receiving an email soon with a link to this year’s “Parent Teacher Survey”. This is the first year the School Board is conducting the survey entirely online. The website that the link will send you to is called Survey Monkey. You will only fill out one survey for all your children’s teachers for the current school year. You will be prompted through the survey to select each of your children’s teachers. Please take time to complete the survey. It should be quick and easy and is completely confidential. No person at St. Francis Solanus School will see your email attached to your completed survey. The data collected will be a valuable tool for the administration to enhance every aspect of your children’s education here at St. Francis Solanus School. 5th Annual Benefit Dinner to support the Mission Trip to Peru for St. Rose Parish. February 26th from 11 to 2 at St. Rose on 8th and Chestnut. $5.00 per person all you care to eat. (5 kinds of soup with coffee or tea).
