St. Francis School Newsletter – March 1, 2019

Mardi Gras is This Tuesday, March 5

The Mardi Gras Committee requests each family to send the following item according to the first letter of their last name:

A-G two liter bottle of soda or juice for snack area
H-L four cans of soda or juice for penny toss game
M-R $2-$5. for raffle gift cards
S-Z One dozen prepackaged snack items

We have some students who require gluten free, or dairy free, or peanut free snacks. Not every snack needs to meet this request, but we would like to have some choices for these students. (Suggestions: plain Rice Krispie Treats, popcorn, fruit snacks, Fruit by the Foot–check label )

We are in dire need of  pre-packaged snacks, two liters and cans of soda and juice.  All items are needed by Monday, March 4 to be sorted.

On Tuesday, March 5 students may wear out of dress code clothes. Purple, green, or gold shirts are requested with jeans as we celebrate Mardi Gras.

Cold Lunch and Silverware

If there is food in your child’s cold lunch that needs to be eaten with a silverware, please provide a spoon or fork.

New Awning

We are so excited about our new awning that covers our West exit doors to the parking lot! Thank you to Holy Name Men’s Group for the donation and also to Mr. K’s Fabric for helping with the installation. This will be a great way to stay out of the rain during our drop off or pick up times during the day. When it is not in use, it can be stored away with a touch of a button! We love it! Thank you so much, especially, to Ray Wheeler, for his help with this project!

Lori Shepard, Principal
