Six Flags Program

The deadline for the Six Flags program is almost here! As a reminder, this program is for all children in Kindergarten through sixth grades. Each child who chooses participate is asked a total of six hours and return the log back into their teacher NO LATER than Wednesday, February 27th, 2019 (late entries will NOT be accepted). The children who meet the requirements of the program will receive a FREE Six Flags ticket closer to the end of the school year. If you have any other questions, or are in need of a new log, please contact Mrs. Marshall for more information prior to Wednesday, February 27th.


Dental Exam

Kindergarten, Second, and Sixth Grade students must turn in a dental exam no later than May 15th. A copy can be faxed to the school at 222-5049.


Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras will be on March 5th after lunch at the school. Any parent wanting to help with this fun afternoon, please call the school office or contact your student’s teacher. Thank you!


Buffalo Wild Wing Night

The 8th grade is hosting a fundraising night on Thursday, Feb. 28th from 5-8 p.m at Buffalo Wild Wings Restaurant. You must turn in the flyer for the class to receive credit. Any questions, please call the school office. Thank you for your support. (Gene Grawe carries BWW gift cards too)


Service Hours

Please call the office to see how many service hours you have completed. If you have helped with a field trip or classroom party please let the office know, only playground hours are tracked in the office. 10 hours per family are to be completed by May 24th. Please remember that all hours not fulfilled are subject to a $10.00 fee per hour. Thanks.


Bacon Fundraiser

Shane McDermott will be again offering hardwood smoked bacon for $10.00 per pound. All proceeds will be donated to the 6th grade class trip to St. Louis for Junior Achievement this coming April. If you are interested in purchasing some bacon for your family or friends, please call Shane at 242-1125. There is a limited supply, so if you are interested, you may want to get your order in early!!


Lunch / After Care

Bills for these accounts are emailed or given out each month. These are two different accounts in our system. These bills must be paid separately and not combined into one check. The office does not have any way to divide these bills. Thank you for your understanding If you need a balance, please call the school office. Bills are emailed monthly, please let the office know if you are NOT receiving an email. All balances must be paid in full by May 20th. Thank you.


Papa Murphy Coupon Cards

These cards are for sale in the school office if anyone is interested in purchasing one. They are $5.00 each and have 8 peel-off coupons. Thank you!


Jean Day

We would like to have a jean day to help support Fr. Bob’s family. His daughter, Katie, recently lost her boyfriend to a rare form of cancer. Students may donate 1.00 to help their family with medical bills. Thank you so much. Students may wear jeans and an out of dress code shirt.


Yearbooks

Yearbooks are for sale until March 22, 2019. Order forms are in the office. Please note, yearbooks are sold separately from picture orders. They are $12.00 each and in COLOR. They can be purchased on line through LifeTouch at YBPAY.LIFETOUCH.COM.


Box Tops

Principal Position

St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Quincy, IL, is seeking an elementary school principal for their parish school, St. Dominic School, beginning August 1, 2019. St. Dominic School provides academic excellence in a Catholic environment for 170 students in preschool through 8th grade. The ideal candidate will be a practicing, faithful Catholic who is knowledgeable and supportive of the mission and philosophy of Catholic Schools and is committed to evangelization through excellence in Catholic education.
Applicants should hold a Master’s Degree in Education with Illinois License, experience in elementary school teaching and administration.
