Tickets for the 2017 “EVERYBODY WINS” Mega Raffle were sent home this past Wednesday, March 29th, 2017, to nearly 1,000 QCES & QND families. If you did not receive your packet, please check your child’s backpack and/or call your school’s office. Enthusiasm for this year’s Mega Raffle is running very high, which we attribute to the new “Super Early-Bird Drawing” for a cash prize of $10,000. However, that is just one of the 74 prizes that will be given away in all, totaling $167,750. The Grand Prize is $100,000; 2nd Prize is your choice of a new 2017 Chevrolet Camaro or a new 2017 Kia Sorrento; and Third Prize is $10,000. Only 4,000 tickets will be sold at $100 per ticket, so sell and/or purchase your tickets early, so you and your family don’t miss out on the fun.

The “Super Early-Bird” Drawing for the $10,000 cash prize will be held on Friday, May 12th, on Y101 at 8:10 a.m. Both ticket purchasers and sellers will have their names entered into the “Super Early-Bird” Drawing. Dear Parents,

As we grow closer every day to the end of the year, we have high hopes to finish strong and on a positive note.  Please make every effort to have your child arrive to school on time and ready to participate in their academic responsibilities.  Some of the recorded tardies and absences for the students are getting into high numbers and we would like to keep these at a minimum if at all possible.  We thank you in advance for your cooperation and support of our high standards here at St. Francis Solanus.

Thank you, Lori Shepard

COUNTY MARKET MAX DOLLARS: CONGRATULATIONS! We have earned another $1000 donation from County Market.  Our school and community have worked hard to outperform nearly 300 other schools that participate in the Max Dollars for Education program in 2016.

Youth Group for Grades 7 and 8:

We are very excited to announce the invitation of our 7th and 8th grade students to join the St. Peter Youth Group, FOUND. They are opening up this group to all area 7th-9th grade students for shared activities and fellowship.   This group has been established for several years with the tremendous leadership of Dave Cawthon and Gina Bergman.  Activities are held on Sunday nights and a schedule of upcoming dates will be posted in our newsletter.  They will be meeting once during the summer months in June, July, and August, with dates to be determined.  This will be a wonderful opportunity to share your faith, meet new people, and form a lasting bond with your peer group.  We encourage you to participate and create a strong foundation of faith on which to build.

The 8th Grade class is selling Papa Murphy’s coupon cards for their class trip.  Cards are $5.00 each and are available in the office.  Thanks for supporting our 8th grade class!

Lunch Bills: If you are NOT receiving a bill through your email account, please contact the school office.  All lunch bills are sent through RenWeb.  Please check your spam/junk mail folder as well.  Thanks!

Playground Duty:  If you are unable to make your scheduled day, please give the office a 24 hour notice.  Subs for playground are very hard to come by and this will help immensely.  And if you are able to switch or contact a sub yourself, please let the office know as well. Please remember to send in your $10 fee for a sub as well.

REGISTRATION: Please make sure you have your lunch account, extended care, and outstanding tuition paid in full in order to re-register for the 2017- 2018 school year.  Also, if you would like to know how many service hours you have completed please call the school office.

Class Rosters for 2017-2018

As a reminder, we do not take teacher requests for your child.  We have a systematic objective process that will balance the gender and skill set of the children in the class.  Teachers do have input to resolve any potential conflicts, and I value their expertise in this area.

Thank you for your support in advance, Lori Shepard

Box Tops: Please keep sending them in.  This is a great way for our school to fundraise.  Our last check to the school was over $300.00.
