St. Francis School News – March 9, 2018

FRIDAY, MARCH 23RD: Any outstanding amounts owed for tuition, fees, hot lunch, after-care, etc. MUST BE PAID IN FULL by Friday, March 23rd, in order to register for the 2018-2019 school year.

FACTS Financial Aid: the site is up and ready. It was sent out in an email and is on the school website.  This is all done on-line now. There is NO paper copy to fill out and mail in.  All applications are due April 6th, 2018.

Facts Meeting: At St. Peter School on March 19th is now at 6:00 p.m. (originally at 7:00) will be held in the school gym.

Service Hours:  All service hours must be completed by May 1st.  Please stop by the office or check RenWeb to make sure how many hours are completed.  A $10.00 per hour will be charged if not completed and report cards/ records will be held until paid in full or fulfilled.

Olympic Day shirt orders: all orders are due by Monday, March 5th.  Any questions, please call the office or contact Mr. Miller.  Forms must be turned in a.s.a.p.  Students that do not have a shirt for Olympic Day will NOT be able to participate. (5th thru 8th Grades only)

6th,7th& 8th Grade Dance: all students will be asked to stay and help clean up the Parish Hall before leaving.  If all contribute to the effort, it should not take long.  Students should dress up and wear appropriate clothing for a school dance.  It will be held in the Parish Hall from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, March 9th.

SUPER KIDS SOAPBOX DERBY: Friday, June 15th at Bob Mays Park. For more information about this fun event or to register a participant (ages 6-21) please contact Bryan Main at [email protected] or call 222-6650 ext. 3365.


QND Spring Show:  The QND music students will present their annual Spring Show, CINEMANIA on  Friday, March 16 at 7:00 and Saturday, March 17 at  2:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. in the Orr Auditorium at JWCC.   All five QND Choirs, Jazz Band, Comedy Ensemble, “Mixed Nuts”, and student specialty acts will be highlighted. Tickets are on sale now! Ticket prices are $15 for adults in advance and $18.00 at the door. Student tickets are $6. To reserve tickets in advance, contact Roberta Hutson at [email protected] or 217-617-6654. Tickets are also available for purchase at both Quincy County Market locations and will be sold at Quincy Notre Dame during school lunch periods, 11:05-12:35 p.m. the week of the show, March 12-16.  A preview performance will be held on Thursday, March 15 at 7:00 p.m. All seats are $6 and can be purchased at the door, no ticket required.  For more information, contact Monica Scholz, QND Choral Director, at 217-223-2479, ext. 328.

St. Peter’s Chess Tournament: Saturday, April 14th at 8:30 a.m. with registration beginning at 8:00 a.m. at St. Peter School cafeteria.  This tournament is for grades K – 8 and cost is $5.00 per child.  Box Tops: Please keep sending in your labels and Box Tops.  This is a great opportunity for our school to receive free money/supplies. Thank you for your support.
