Financial Assistance & Scholarship Opportunities

Tuition Assistance Program

Apply Online With FACTS

The Tuition Assistance Program, coordinated through the QCES Foundation, includes scholarships based on demonstrated financial need. To ensure impartiality and sensitivity to privacy, the schools employ the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment to compile applications for assistance and to recommend amounts to be awarded.

The same application can be used for the Quincy Catholic Elementary Schools and QND.  There is a one-time non-refundable online application fee of $27 per family. FACTS accepts all major Credit Cards (Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover). Families can also submit a paper application, available in the school offices, with a non-refundable application fee of $30.

For priority consideration of this application for tuition assistance, it should be postmarked no later than April 6, 2018. Applications will be accepted after April 6, 2018, but there is no guarantee that tuition assistance funds will still be available for those who apply after April 6, 2018. This application form should be mailed to FACTS. Please DO NOT return it to your school’s office or to the QCES Foundation office.

The Tuition-Assistance Review Committee has decided that a family’s 2017 Tax Return will be the REQUIRED TAX RETURN for the 2018 2019 FACTS Application.

A family can submit a 2016 tax return for additional information purposes, but decisions on a family’s 2018-2019 tuition assistance award will only be made, based on the family’s 2017 Tax Return, unless they are not required to file a 2017 tax return (which means they most likely have full need).

Families can participate in the Gene Grawe Fund to help offset tuition. Participating families may purchase gift cards offered through many retailers. These businesses donate a percentage of the profits into the scholarship fund, which is then distributed to the tuition accounts of the families participating. Relatives and friends of families can also purchase cards to generate funding. Gift cards are easily available and can be used for items that are part of the normal family budget such as groceries and gas.

Gift cards can be purchased in the Gene Grawe Fund office located in the lobby at St. Peter Church, 2600 Maine Street.
